Chris is entering his 12th year coaching overall and has coached at all youth levels during his career. This will be Chris's 8th season with the MassConn Girls durign which time he has coached at the U12, U14, U19 levels.
He has lead his teams to the National Bound Massachusetts State championship tournament in 5 out of 7 seasons with MassConn and
takes great pride in helping his players advance to the next level, with many of those he has coached moving on to play in prep school and college.
Chris is passionate about hockey and strives to bring that passion out of his players through preparation, hard work, and perseverance.
After more than 35 years of playing and coaching the game, he continues to learn and promotes a goal-oriented, positive learning culture where he challenges players to train outside their comfort zone.
Chris has been instrumental in the development of young hockey players as a coach since 1995. His coaching experience began under the leadership of Lincoln Flagg and Gary Dineen. Chris played junior hockey for Gary Dineen as well as for Cathedral High School where he was awarded the Eddie Shore award – given to the best defenseman in Western Mass High School hockey. Chris played collegiate hockey for Fairfield University.
He has coached boys’, co-ed and girls’ teams from mites through midgets. Former players have gone on to achieve success at the high school, prep school, junior, college and professional (including the National Hockey League) level. Chris focuses on a long-term developmental approach with a positive perspective. We are appreciative to his wife, Kellye, and his family for their support in his efforts to be a positive role model and influence on his players in their development both on and off the ice.
