CHRIS SHUMAN

Chris has been instrumental in the development of young hockey players as a coach since 1995.  His coaching experience began under the leadership of Lincoln Flagg and Gary Dineen. Chris played junior hockey for Gary Dineen as well as for Cathedral High School where he was awarded the Eddie Shore award – given to the best defenseman in Western Mass High School hockey.  Chris played collegiate hockey for Fairfield University.

He has coached boys’, co-ed and girls’ teams from mites through midgets.  Former players have gone on to achieve success at the high school, prep school, junior, college and professional (including the National Hockey League) level. Chris focuses on a long-term developmental approach with a positive perspective. We are appreciative to his wife, Kellye, and his family for their support in his efforts to be a positive role model and influence on his players in their development both on and off the ice.
